The rain in Lahore has broken the previous 30-year record where 291 mm of rain was recorded in 10 hours.
Apart from this, WASA said that due to the change in weather and due to the onset of monsoon, Lahore was engulfed in rain and it continued to rain for 10 hours while many areas of Lahore RECORDED more than 200 mm of rain.
He Further said that the WASA team or the cabinet of Lahore are doing their best for drainage.
Along with this, the commissioner of Lahore, whose name is Muhammad Ali, says that on June 26, 257 MM of Rain was Recorded and in 2022, 238 mm of Rain was Recorded, while in 2018, 288 mm of rain was recorded in Lahore.
He also said that in thirty Years Lahore has not Received so much Rain in such a Short Time and as soon as the RAIN Stops, all the Roads will be cleared after some time.
Apart from this, the caretaker CM visited many areas during the rain, including Gulbarg, Gaddafi Stadium, Kalma Chowk, Garden Town and many other places where he reviewed the situation there.
However, Mohsin Naqvi immediately contacted Commissioner Lahore for drainage and informed about the occasion and said that there has been record rain in a short period of time, so all measures should be taken for drainage.
Along with this, the chief of LESCO said that trees have fallen in some areas due to which the electric wires have broken due to which the power supply has been suspended.
