Malaysian veterans have elected Anwar Ibrahim as the PM of Malaysia after several days of elections. King Sultan Abdullah ensured the election of Anwar Ibrahim, while the election that took place over the weekend marked an extraordinary parliament.
No one asked for a simple majority, whether it was former PM Mohiuddin Yasin or the newly-minted Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
According to local time, Anwar Ibrahim will take oath as the PM at 5 o’clock, and then he will see the situation in the country.
Important sources have learned that the statement from the palace said that Anwar Ibrahim has been elected as the tenth Prime Minister of Malaysia and His Majesty has agreed to make Anwar Ibrahim the new PM.
Anwar Ibrahim’s PH party means he won the most number of seats from which the PM has been elected, but he did not have any specific seats to form the government, but now it will be known with which party he is in alliance.
He first served as Deputy Prime Minister in 1990 and then PM Mahathir Mohamad, who was led by not 1 but 2 attempts to topple this government. Also, when the Barisan Nasional government was toppled in 2018, he colluded with Mahathir and received a historic sum of money.
But then the current government lasted only two years and Mahathir resigned as Prime Minister and Anwar Ibrahim was once again left empty-handed.
