Asad Umar who is the secretary of PTI has apologized in his contempt of court case.
Justice Jawad Hasan revised the notice sent to him due to this case.
On November 26, Asad Umar, while giving a speech in the Long March, talked about the judges or badmouthed them. In this regard, the court issued him a notice of contempt of court. Criticized the judges, the court also asked Asad Umar for an answer regarding this notice.
Asad Umar arrived in the court of his lawyers today and complied with the court instructions.
When Asad Umar’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhary arrived in the court, Justice Jawad said that his client had said that, so he called Asad Umar. Asad Umar apologized regarding the case in the court or said that we disrespected the courts or will continue to do so.
Jawad Hasan said that this issue is not contempt of court, rather this issue is the institutions or identity connected with them. Responding to this, Asad Umar said that I did not mention the name of any judge while giving a speech.
Asad Umar also said that my aim was not to point the courts or judges. In this, Justice Jawad replied that we have the footage of you in which you gave your speech, but we are not going to play it. Don’t want to, but we learn what you said in it and what you didn’t say.
Along with this, Jawad Hassan said that only the courts justifiable you to go on a long march, or you targeted them.
On this, Asad Umar apologized to the court.
Justice Sahib said that we have seen or listened to your video. Article fifty of the Constitution allows right to movement or sixty right to democracy, but it does not allow us to start criticizing the courts.
Along with this, Justice Jawad dismissed the case keeping in view the notice issued in this case.
