The hearing of the case regarding the election of national and provincial assemblies in Pakistan and the implementation of the decision passed on April 4 will be held in the Supreme Court today.
Let us tell you that on April 4, a 3-member bench of the Supreme Court had decided that the government would provide 21 billion rupees to the Election Commission by April 27.
Along with this, the case will be headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan and a 3-member bench will hear the case.
However, the third phase of depositing the funds for the election has also passed, and the Supreme Court has to ask the government for a report on the disbursement of these funds.
In addition, in the hearing held on April 20, the court ordered that the current government and PTI negotiate with each other because Chief Justice Umar Atta said that the decision to hold elections on May 14 has not changed in any way.
The hearing scheduled for April 26 was canceled due to the ill health of the Chief Justice and after that a new roster was issued according to which the Chief Justice will start the hearing at 11.30 am followed by a 3-member bench. In which Justice Ejaz, Justice Munib will join and will hear the case.
