China is planning to start construction a foundation station on the moon in the next 5 years.
According to the report of the SCMP, ‘SCIENTISTS‘ associated with the program said that the construction of this foundation will begin with the preparation of brickwork from the dust on the surface of the MOON.
Ding Lieyun, a scientist at the Hangzhou University of Science or Technology, said the 1st brickwork from around the MOON is expected to be produced during the Chang’e-8 aim in 2028.
In the past, there were reports that China’s base station on the Moon would be POWERED by NUCLEAR power.
However, it is not yet evident whether the full foundation will be constructed from the core on the MOON level or only specific parts.
According to Ding Lieyun, ‘the gradual construction of extraterrestrial shelters will not only be necessary for space search, but also necessary for CHINA to become a spot power‘.
It should be noted that China has consigned missions to the (Moon) while it has also constructed its own spot station or is preparing to send a mission to Mars.
CASC scientist Yu Dengyun also gave details of the missions to be consigned to the moon in the near future.
According to him, in 2025, the Chang’e-SIX mission will be consigned to the MOON to amass sampling from the remote parts of the moon.
This will be followed in 2026 by the Chang’e-seven aim, which will search for water ICE on the moon, while the Chang’e 8 mission will be launched in 2028.
