The trial jail will be open for hearings in light of the security report of SP Adiala Jail, according to the Special Court of Official Secrets Act, as stated in the cipher case.
The cipher case is currently being heard in the Islamabad judicial complex before Judge Abul Hasnat. Imran Khan’s sisters and Shah Mahmood’s daughter were in attendance, as were the attorneys for the Chief PTI and the FIA special prosecutors. I’m here.
The attorney, Safi Salman Safdar, announced at the outset of the hearing that today is the scheduled hearing for the cypher case trial. The case was never handled quickly.
Judge Abul Hasnat ordered the court employees to produce the case file in the interim.
The judge examined the report that the jail authorities had submitted about Chairman PTI’s appearance in court during the hearing and stated that they were unable to produce IK.
FIA Special Prosecutor Shah Khawar read a letter written by Superintendent Adiala Jail to the court.
According to the letter, PTI Chairman has serious security concerns and ISL Police has been contacted for additional security. PTI Chief cannot be produced in court for these reasons.
Along with the jail report, Superintendent Adiala Jail has attached the Islamabad Police report.
The attorney Safai stated in the letter of SP Adiala Jail that the Chairman of the PTI must appear in court today and that there was no terrorist incident in Islamabad. I have appeared in court with Imran Khan in between fifty and sixty cases, but Chairman PTI was not presented.
Salman Safdar questioned what kind of sabotage had occurred to prevent Chairman PTI from being brought before the court. He claimed that Superintendent Adiala Jail had acted contrary to the IHC and your decision, and that he had seen indications in the morning that he shouldn’t have been brought.
Attorney Salman Safdar stated, “You are as surprised as we are, and the prosecution is as surprised. It is on your order that Chairman PTI be brought to court.”
When attorney Salman Safdar requested to see the letter from SP Adiala Jail, the judge responded by telling him to only read the first page because the remaining pages were private.
The Imran Khan’s attorney remarked, “Where will Cyferkis go if he can’t even go to jail or to court?” The judge responded to this by saying, “Don’t get worked up over it; the court will make the right decision. I had directed that Chief PTI and Shah Mahmood appear in court. Section 352 allows for open courts regardless of security.” The court hearing is scheduled, as I’ve received numerous notifications. Although I’m interested in an open trial in Cyphercase, I have no interest in attending the hearing if anyone does. I will issue a judicial order directing that the hearing in the Cypher case take place outside of the courtroom, and I won’t be permitted to attend.
Attorney Salman Safdar asked PTI Chief to come into court by 2:00 p.m., at which point the judge stated he would issue an order regarding the matter.
Following the parties’ arguments, the court postponed making a decision on Shah Mehmood’s and EX PM’s appearance; this decision will be made at a later date.
About an hour later, the court delivered its decision, declaring that a trial would take place in the jail, open to the public, and that journalists would be permitted to attend the Cipher case hearing in light of the security report of Superintendent Adiala Jail.
It should be mentioned that the jail trial for the cipher case against Imran Khan was cancelled by the Islamabad High Court.
