The ECP has indicated the elections to be held in Punjab or KP. It is hoped that the elections will be held at the end of April 2023 or at the beginning of May 2023.
The “Election Commission of Pakistan” held an important meeting on March 2 in which they considered what was decided by the SC but could not take any decision in that meeting.
He said that the session will be held on March 3 i.e. Friday, in which it will be sure when the elections will be held.
It has been learned from important sources that the EC has made it clear that they will follow the decision of the Supreme Court and the President has to clarify the date of the ELECTION along with the governor to publish the date of the election in KP.
Apart from this, it has been found that it will not be breeze to hold elections within Ninety days of the dissolution of the assembly or even if the date of the election is announced by the Governor OR the President, the elections will not be held within 54 days.
Along with this, it is suggested that the date of election will be given after Eid, while the date can be kept at the end of April or beginning of May.
When the institutions at the provincial or federal level obstructed the support of the commission, it was asked whether that institution is now willing to accept this, to which the reply was said that whatever the issues are with the stakeholders, they should be dealt with by Punjab or KP.
