The Organizing a home match for the Football World Cup Qualifier became a challenge for the Pakistan Football Federation.
According to the sources, provision of a stadium to host the home match is a challenge for the Pakistan Football Federation, Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad and Punjab Stadium in Lahore were the options of PFF but both the stadiums are not complete according to the latest FIFA standards.
Sources say that quality of pitch and floodlight, availability of rooms are challenges for PFF, apart from dressing room, medical room, technical officials room and broadcaster room are also mandatory for international matches.
Sources say that the sports board offices are also established in the Punjab Stadium and the Pakistan Football Federation has to finalize the stadium before August 18.
According to the sources, the Pakistan Football Federation has also started considering to hold the match at a neutral venue as the ground has to be upgraded in time as per FIFA standards to hold the match at the home ground.
It should be noted that Pakistan has to play a home match against Cambodia on October 17 in the World Cup Qualifier.
