The government of Pakistan has provided the IMF with an additional $3 billion financing plan.

Apart from this, the Ministry of Finance made it clear that EIIB will provide a loan of $1 billion, while commercial banks will also provide loans of $1 billion and Risetop Programme will provide a loan of $450 million.
Important sources revealed that the IMF and the Ministry of Finance are discussing the financing plan. At the same time, officials have requested the IMF that the agreement will facilitate further financing plans.
It has also been learned from important sources that the IMF‘s response is awaited as to whether this agreement will be reached or whether $3 billion in guarantees will be required.
The Ministry of Finance said that it is awaited whether the IMF will provide more loans while the plan to borrow money from the donors conference in Geneva has also been provided to the IMF.
