The PTI President Pervez Elahi has been ordered to be released immediately by the Lahore High Court.
The Lahore High Court heard the case in which NAB produced the former Chief Minister in the court.
Earlier, Elahi had challenged his arrest by NAB in which Justice Amjad had issued an arrest warrant against the DG of NAB for not producing Parvez Elahi.
After that, the court has issued an order to release them on September 1, i.e. today.
When the hearing started, Justice Amjad Rafique said that the accountability court was told that the intra-court application had been disposed of, to which the NAB prosecutor replied that he was not aware of it.
After that, Justice Amjad said that the matter should be fully processed and I now order the release of Parvez Elahi, so he should be released soon.
Let us tell you that when Elahi approached the Lahore High Court for the first time, the court had released him in every case and ordered that he should not be arrested in any pending case, but the Punjab government filed two appeals against this decision. A case was filed before the member bench where the judgment of the single bench was suspended.
After that, NAB arrested the PTI president in the kickbacks case.
