The WhatsApp continues to introduce new features.
The Meta-owned messaging app has recently introduced several other features including editing messages, chat lock and channels.
Now a new feature is being added to WhatsApp which was not present in this messaging platform before and users will definitely like it a lot. The Video messaging feature is being added to WhatsApp for Android and iOS devices. Under this feature, users will be able to record a short 60-second video and send it to their friends as a message, just like sending an audio message.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the video messaging feature is available in the new beta versions of WhatsApp for iOS and Android. This new feature is introduced in iOS beta version 23.6.0.73 and Android beta version 2.23.8.19.
According to the report, the video messages will be protected by end-to-end encryption, meaning that no one but the sender and receiver will be able to access the video message.
The report further stated that the video message will not be able to be forwarded but it will be possible to save it to the phone through screen recording.
If you are using WhatsApp beta version then you can use this feature. This feature is very easy to use, just open any chat and click the microphone button, just like you would to record an audio message. If you have this feature available, the microphone button will have changed to a video camera button.
Click on it to record a video message and send it to friends or relatives. But currently, it is possible to send this video message only to those users who have the new beta version of WhatsApp on their iOS or Android devices. As this feature is still in beta version, general users will have to wait for few weeks or months to access it.
