A Fourteen-Member Committee Led by FM Bilawal Bhutto has been formed by PM Shehbaz to discuss Pakistan’s Cricket Team’s Participation in the World Cup that will be Hosted in India in October 2023.
The Committee will compile its Recommendations for the PM’s Consideration or Confirmation after Considering all pertinent aspects.
The Bypassing all established procedures, the PCB requested the FEDERAL GOVT Confirmation in a Letter to the PM dated June 27 before approving the National team’s Participation in the ODI World Cup.
The IM, Law Minister, the Inter-Provincial Coordination Minister, the Information and Broadcasting Minister, the Advisor on Kashmir Affair, Establishment Advisor, FS, PSPM, or organization of Secret Agencies or Sensitive Dep make up the committee, which is chaired by the FM.
The committee has been given permission to convene or discuss PAK’s World Cup eligibility.
India, which will host the “ODI WORLD CUP” in October, has Already stated that it will not Cross the Border to take part in the ASIA CUP, denying PAK the legitimate right to Host all Matches. Now, just 4 of the (Asia Cup Matches) will be Played in Pakistan; the remaining matches will be played in Sri Lanka.
The PAK may respond by stating that they Will likewise Play all of their games at Neutral sites and not travel to Travel to India for the 2019 World Cup.
The Committee has been given permission by the PM to make a decision on the delicate issue for his Final Confirmation.
The Salman Naseer, the PCB’s COO, addressed a letter to the PM asking for permission for the PCT to compete in the ICC Cricket World Cup. If the Govt Grants permission for the TEAM to compete, the PCB also requests guidance on the places for the Team’s Scheduled Matches.
The PAK will perform at Ahmadabad, Bengaluru or Chennai, among other cities.
When an “ICC” tournament was previously conducted in India, the Govt of PAK sent a Security reconnaissance TEAM to the appropriate places to assess whether they were approved from a Security Point of see to Host PAK Team Matches.
