PM Shahbaz Sharif has left for Turkey for a 2 days official visit. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has invited him. He has left for the visit this morning.

The PM has said in his interview that in this visit we will further improve the relations between Pakistan or Turkey.

The PM is coming to launch 1 of the 4 ships of the Pakistan Navy at the Istanbul Shipyard on the request of President Erdoğan. He will inaugurate the 3rd ship. Turkey will have deeper ties that will benefit us.

Along with this, it has been said by the Foreign Office that the 2 of them will meet to discuss the country’s condition or also express their common interests.

The PM is also expected to meet and hold discussions with business people in Turkey, as well as meet with the President of the ICO Trade or Development Bank or hold some consultations with him.

Important sources reveal that the Milgam project between Turkey or Pakistan is running due to mutual cooperation or that is why the project is progressing.

The 1st ceremony as per FO took place in August 2021 in which Pakistan Navy’s PNS Babar was made available while the 2nd ship was PNC in Karachi in 2022.

In this regard, PM Shahbaz Sharif visited Turkey in May and June 2022.
