The PM Shehbaz Sharif has been declared innocent by NAB in Ashiana housing scheme scam.
NAB has made it clear that there was no evidence of any malpractice in the Ashiana housing scheme and Shahbaz Sharif did not get any benefit from it nor did the public exchequer suffer due to it.
Apart from this, NAB said that they did not find any evidence against the Prime Minister in this case, nor could it be proved that Shahbaz Sharif had misused it.
According to the report issued by NAB, there was no damage to the government treasury, but Kamran Kayani also did not harm the government treasury. The matter was referred to Anti-Corruption.
After which NAB requested that a decision be pronounced on Shahbaz Sharif’s plea of acquittal.
What were the Allegations Against Shahbaz Sharif?
The 4 Allegations were leveled against the Prime Minister by NAB.
The first allegation in this was that Shahbaz Sharif had transferred this project from PLDC to LDA.
While the second allegation was that illegal orders were again given by LDA to PLDC to award the project.
Then the third allegation was that he ordered the project to be awarded to Paragon and then secured it in PPP mode through some illegal orders.
Along with this, the fourth allegation was that Shehbaz Sharif illegally interfered in the affairs of the board and also illegally terminated the contract signed with Latif Sons in 2013.
