Hamza Shahbaz Sharif was taken action against the court’s order to inform him ten days before his arrest in the Clean Water, Sugar Mills case.
The Supreme Court stated that there is no requirement in the law to inform the accused before arrest that he is going to be arrested.
In the presence of Chief Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, a 3-member bench of the Dependency Court headed by Justice Muneeb and Justice Mazahir Naqvi challenged the Lahore High Court and ordered NAB to look into the case.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan invalidated this order of the Lahore High Court and at the same time fulfilled the request of the NAB.
It should be remembered that the Lahore High Court had told Hamza Shehbaz about his arrest ten days ago.
