It has been said by the World Bank that remittances to Pakistan may decrease by 7.3%.

The World Bank said that compared to last year, which was 31 billion dollars, Pakistan will receive only 29 billion dollars of remittances, and not only Pakistan’s remittances have decreased, but also Bangladesh and Sri Lanka’s remittances.

There may be a shortage. Apart from this, the World Bank also says that India’s remittances are expected to reach $100 billion this year, with Pakistan’s rupee depreciating by 36 percent against the dollar between January and September.

The World Bank also said in its report that more than 8 million Pakistanis were displaced from their homes due to the floods.
